Willow House Coaching
About

I'm Alison.

For more than two decades my work has lived where business, leadership, and real life meet. I've built and sold businesses, led inside companies, and coached hundreds of leaders. Willow House is what all of it has been building toward.

What's in a name

Why it's called Willow House

Willow trees are known for strength and resilience. They bend without breaking. They adapt. Their roots grow deep enough to stay steady even when everything around them shifts.

The willow is that resilience, the ability to adapt without losing your foundation. The house is something built with intention and care, a place that holds the people inside it. That is the environment I wanted to create. Somewhere women can step out of the noise, think clearly, and build something that actually fits their life.

The thread

I spent years being the only woman in the room.

Sometimes I was there as a consultant. Sometimes as a coach. Sometimes as someone who had spent years doing the work. And again and again I noticed the same thing. The most capable women in the room were often the most stretched, the most quietly doubted, and the most alone in it.

Those experiences did not push me away from the work. They showed me what was missing. Women carrying real responsibility need places where their leadership is recognized and where they can be honest about what the work actually costs. That thread runs through everything I do.

Building a career or business in construction or the trades? I created a community for exactly that, called BuildHER. It lives over at Jona Group.

The work I do

Helping high-performing women build something that holds.

Willow House is a coaching practice for high-performing women, founded by Alison Grimley and based in Ontario, Canada. The work spans three areas: business strategy, leadership and performance, and health and vitality.

Based in Milton, Ontario, Willow House Coaching serves clients in-person across the Greater Toronto Area, including Milton, Oakville, Burlington, Mississauga, Hamilton, and Toronto. Virtual coaching is also available for clients outside the GTA.

Today my work focuses on helping women gain clarity, strengthen their businesses and leadership, and build lives that feel aligned rather than exhausting. Through Willow House I work with women business owners and entrepreneurs, women in leadership, and high-functioning women who are doing a great deal and quietly running on empty.

The goal is not just growth. It is building something meaningful that lasts, in business and in life.

The pattern I recognized

Alignment matters more than titles.

For most of my career I have been building things. I started and grew businesses, worked alongside entrepreneurs, and sold one of the companies I built. At different points I stepped into leadership roles inside established companies. On paper those roles offered stability. But each time I realized the same thing. My greatest impact happened when I was working independently, helping people think clearly and move their lives and businesses forward.

Willow House is the result of finally embracing that.

"Alison's coaching has consistently led me to clear improvements, from stress and anxiety to delegation and getting me out of my own way."
